This connection generates intelligent production networks that can be bundled and remotely controlled. The need for individual human operators decreases significantly and it becomes more important to monitor the process as a whole. As the machines communicate to each other, they can independently produce and maintain the optimal production level so that no resources are wasted. Since connected machines produce enormous amounts of data, the processes can be further optimized through data analysis. In this way, ideal repair times can be detected. The intelligent production network uses sensors to detect a component requiring maintenance and can thus minimize downtime.
