Cyber-physical systems connect real and virtual world. Information from the real world is absorbed and directly transferred to the virtual world, where information is bundled and further processed. This is usually done via sensors. The complexity of these systems is characterized by the level of networking of two usually independent working systems. Information can be transmitted in real-time, thereby ensuring that it is up-to-date. Influences of the real environment on the sensors of a cyber-physical system are translated into a virtual language, which allows immediate reaction on changes. The communication basis of cyber-physical systems is usually the internet, which functions as an indirect interface. This technology is widespread used already.
